They were both having a truthful relationship between them.They both have complete faith on each other.
When the prince was dying then also the swallow hadn't left him alone.
After they both died the God asked his Angels the two precious things one was the swallow and the other on the heart of the happy prince which was broken when the swallow died.
The God told that the swallow would sing in the garden and the happy prince would praise it.
