This is due to erosion due to rivers eroding the land and soft rocks eroded by water.
Therefore these erosions result in an uneven land surface and form steep sharp slopes, ravines, gullies and gorges.
The potwar plateu does not have many high hills. The highest hill is kalachitta which is just a kilometre high otherwise the average is just 300 to 600 meters high.
