diaphragm is done shape structure which separate thoracic cavity to abdomin when it contract then diaphragm become flat and volume of thoracic cavity increase so pressure decrease and air flow from high pressure to low pressure it is inhalation process and in exhalation diaphragm in relax form and gain it's position so volume decrease and pressure increase so air is out of the lung

Answer:

A large dome-shaped muscle under the lungs called the diaphragm squeezes downward when you breathe in, making a vacuum that causes a rush of fresh air into your lungs. The opposite happens when you breathe out -- your diaphragm relaxes upward, pushing on your lungs, letting them deflate.
