a)The atmosphere of the earth is composed of life supporting gases like oxygen and nitrogen. The atmosphere also prevents the ultra-violet rays of the sun.
b)Three fourth of the surface of the earth is covered by water without which life would not be possible. 
c)The earth is at an optimum distance from the sun. This enable the earth to receive a temperature of not too hot or not too cold for life to survive.
These factors make the earth a unique planet.

a) atmosphere
the atmosphere of earth is very important.it has very useful gases like oxygen,carbon dioxide etc. without which life would not be possible on earth.all living things need oxygen to survive. ozone protect them from harmful UV rays. greenhouse gases carbon dioxide helps in maintaining earth's temperature.

b)water
earth is nearly 3/4 filled with water.water is a life-supporting liquid.living organisms need water for their survival.water also helps plants to grow which is directly or indirectly useful for life on earth.

c)temperature
the temperature of earth is just perfect.it is neither too hot nor too cold.earth is at a suitable distance from earth which allows earth to have the perfect temperature.and also the green house gases helps capturing heat and keeps it warm even during night.
