The role of enzymes in digestion are as followed :

1. Tje enzymes are the bio - catalyst , which helps in the breaking of food materials into smaller molecules without involving itself in it.

2. The enzymes, such as -
Saliva amylase, helps in the breaking of carbohydrates into simple molecules or maltose. pepsin enzyme, helps in the digestion of protein.
