microorganisms derive their food from the dead and decaying organisms . So they help in cleaning the environment by acting as cleansing agents

Microorganisms which breaks down the complex organic compound present in dead organism like dead plants , dead animals and urine etc.into simpler substance are called decomposers...
The bacteria which acts like decomposers ae knows as putrefying bacteria..

*Decomposers help in decomposing the dead plants and animal and hence as cleansing agent of environment.

*the decomposers also help in putting back th various elements of which dead plants and animals are made back into soil.

* It also helps in maintaining it's fertility of soil.

* The decomposers helps in recycling the material in ecosystem...
