it is said that the Philosophers were the architect of the French revolution . the ideas of Philosophers discussed in coffee houses and salons had effect on people and their thinking .
John Locke refuted the absolute power of monarch and the doctrine of divine( in his book TWO TREATISES OF GOVERNMENT), Jean Jacques Roseau proposed the idea that there should be a social contract between people and their rulers (in his book THE SOCIAL CONTRACT) and the major idea of division of power within the Constitution proposed by Charles Montesquieu in his book THE SPIRIT OF THE LAWS . so we can that the thinkers and philosophers played a major part in French revolution
