The original Prussia was a region of the Baltic coast, full of deep forests and Prussians. These Prussians, in addition to their neighbors the Lithuanians, were among the last pagans in Europe.

In the 13th century, the Kingdom of Poland asked for aid against the pagans on their borders. The Teutonic Knights answered.

The Teutonic Knights were a military order that had been apart of the earlier Crusades for Jerusalem, and were eager to carve out a kingdom for themselves.

After the failure of Liberal nationalist movements in 1848, Prussia took the initiative of the process of unification under the leadership of Otto Von Bismark. Three wars over seven years with Austria Denmark and France lead to Prussian victory.
On 18Jan 1871 in Hall of Mirrors Kaiser William 1 of Prussia was proclaimed the king of united Germany.
