The main purpose of the gallbladder is to store and release bile, or gall. Bile is released into the small intestine in order to help in the digestion of fats by breaking down larger molecules into smaller ones. After the fat is absorbed, the bile is also absorbed and transported back to the liver for reuse

The main role of the small intestine is too "absorb all nutrients and minerals from food." This helps give the body energy without energy the body wouldn't be able to process or function correctly. The small intestine absorb all the nutrients that would give the body energy and pass of the nutrients that wouldn't then would form waste and would be soon taken out of the body. Digestion is the way the body process and breaks down food. Digestions starts all the way to the moment you put food in your mouth.

Hope this helps!
