Students are a society's most active and passionate group. Such young, vibrant and energetic men and women are deep in desire and determination as well as in the power to achieve their aspirations. . The young or student aspect is essential to almost all big revolutions of the modern world. There were also many contributors to the establishment of Pakistan who played a critical role in Freedom Struggle but the role of students was undeniably noteworthy.
Explanation:
- "All-India Muslim Students Federation (AIMSF)" was formed on 17th January 1936. This organisation was established on 29 December 1937 at a conference in Calcutta to put together Muslim students & to organise them throughout the world, to promote a political consciousness, to work towards improving Muslim communities and economic conditions, to make Islamic culture & faith more popular & to create friendly relations amongst Muslims.
- In the early 40's the Independence Struggle had gained momentum and the students' movements also took place. Muslim students served to fulfill their national interests in financial , cultural, journalistic and political terms. Their passion reflects their names, such as "Khadim-e-Pakistan and Mujahid-e-Pakistan", which were formerly used. Their ties with the common citizens in various villages & towns also brought them political knowledge. The Punjab MSF set up a committee for rural Pakistan propaganda to carry the word of the League to the townspeople.
- In order to educate students about the political climate, summer schools were held in various colleges and universities. Fund-raising also played an significant part in supporting Muslim League financially in the 1945 elections.
- Not only were the students employed in their fields, also their brethren in other provinces helped shape inter-provincial cooperation. Students from different provinces also had joined the Punjab civil disobedience campaign.
- Bihar students conducted a relief operation and coordinated rehabilitation of the depressed population in the province, during October 1946, with catastrophic social upheavals. In 1946, the Madras MSF also founded a Red Crescent hospital, which offered first aid training in addition to treating the wounded. Intellectual front was used to promote Quaid 's dream through students, which led MSF to numerous workshops , conferences, symposiums, literacy projects, elocution competitions, cultural and educational events and research circles.
- A important addition to Pakistan 's independence was the political position of Muslim students. The students' movements became more intense as the time arrived for the elections of 1945-46. The referendum campaign had included hundreds of qualified volunteers on the day of voting.
- This time around, in form of police and official intervention, they have had tremendous difficulties. In fact, in Hindu communities too, they had been persecuted and stoned. They still had a tough time. But they could not be diverted by anything, and eventually the commitment, integrity and hard work contributed to Pakistan being established
Contribution towards the Progress of Pakistan
- Education is the first step. Being educated is important to contribute towards the progress of the nation. Students are the origin of the country's growth. In the growth of the world, students have a very significant and important role. When there are no trained people & better education initiatives, you can never hope for a prosperous world. Students who graduate now should strive for the country's future
- We must raise our voice against injustice. We must air our views, learn to speak out. We cannot & must not choose to be always silent when we see a problem. At least we must ensure it reaches the right people to get it solved.
- We are all worried that things are going wrong around the world. Present our thoughts and fears, but above all, seek to help people around us. That this seems odd and trivial, but individual actions are important. We must strive to initiate a change.
