Women played a significant role in the Sikar movement. Thakur Naam Singh of Sihot organised a massive women meeting under the chairmanship of Mrs Kishori Devi at a place named Katrathal on 25th April 1934 CE to protest against the atrocities committed against the farmer women in a village named Bas of Sotia.

Explanation:

Sikar Peasants Movement - Peasant struggles in Shekhawati originated in 1922 as protests against arbitrary increases in demands of land revenue by the Rao Raja (thikanedar) of Sikar in a year that had seen widespread drought and crop failures in Sikar.

In August 1934, under pressure from the British, the Rao Raja of Sikar agreed to a number of demands of the peasants including waiver of taxes, permission to use pasture land for grazing, and abolition of the bag (unpaid labor services).
