Answer:

Xylem parenchyma consists of living parenchyma cells present in xylem . These cells store food and help in the lateral conduction of water.

xylem fibres are lignified fibres present in the xylem . These fibres provide mechanical strength to the plant body.

Xylem tissue is mainly concerned with the conduction of water and minerals from Roots to different plant parts.

Answer:

Xylem is a composite tissue it transports water and minerals only in One direction (uni dierectional) .It's a dead and thick lignified tissue. It's vascular and mechanical tissue. It is composed of 4 cells : Trachieds, Vessels, Xylem parenchyma, Xylem fibers. Except Xylem parenchyma all other elements are dead. Xylem Parenchyma helps to store food and sideways conduction of water. The term xylem derived from Greek word cylinder with meaning wood.
