lysosomes contains about 40 different types of enzymes which are hydrolases. These enzymes help in digestion of foreign bodies and worn out organelles . If the enzymes are released into the cytoplasm because of rupturing of their limiting membrane, these enzymes can digest all the components of the cell. Hence, they are known as suicide bags of the cell

lysosomes are organelles that contain digestive enzyme .they digest excess or worn out organelles , food particles and engulfed viruses and bacteria. one of its function is to digest materials taken up from outside the cell. that process is called endocytosis . that's why it is called suicide bags.
