Saminist movement :-1) During 1890, Surontiko Samin of Randublatung village led a movement.
2) He started questioning against Dutch ownership of the forest.
3) He argued that the state had not created the wind, water , earth and wood . So, it could not own it.
4)Later this movement was led by Samin's sons -in-law.
5) By 1907, 3,000 families were following his ideas .
6)Some protested by laying on the ground when Dutch came to visit them while others refused to pay taxes or fines or perform labour.

The Saminist Movement started in the last decade of the 19th century in Java. ... By 1907, 3000 families started following the ideas of Samin. Some of the rebels protested by lying down on their land, when the Dutch came to survey the land.
