Answer :
In the poem 'The Seven Ages,' William Shakespeare describes the school boy as a naive and innocent being who wants to lead his life with maximum fun and enjoyment. The schoolboy is forever complaining and unwilling to go to school as he considers it as an obstruction to his enjoyment of life. He has a bright, shining face which shows that he has bathed and dressed up for school. However, his slow creeping like a snail shows his reluctance and unwillingness to go to school.
The answer can be found in the following lines from the poem :
'Then, the whining schoolboy with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school.'
