Describe the sequence of events responsible revolution of 1905 in Russia
Answers
Answer:
In 1905 a revolution took place in Russia to change their government. The main three reasons responsible are:
1. The defeat of Russia in the Russo-Japanese War in 1904: In the year 1904, Russia tried to expand it's empire farther. In doing so, Russia came into a direct conflict with Japan. The Russian forces regarded itself as superior to the armies of Japan but actually experienced an embarrassing defeat. Due to this, the prices of essential goods increased and the real wages of the workers declined.
2. The tyranny of Tsar: The king of Russia possessed absolute political power. Therefore, people wanted to change their government.
3. Bloo-dy Sunday: On 22nd January 1905, In St Petersburg, when the workers took out a march to present an appeal to the Tsar, they were tried to stop the march and then ordered to fire upon them. In this event around 100 workers were killed and several hundred were injured. This event became the recent cause for the revolution of 1905 in Russia.
