Simon commission was a group of seven British members of Parliament of United Kingdom under the chairmanship of Sir John Allsebrook Simon assisted by Clement Attlee.

In 1927 the British government in England sent The Simon mission to look into the effectiveness of the government of India act 1919. Indians were not happy with this as it did not have a single Indian as a member and when it came to India it was greeted by the slogans 'simon go back'.
