India is the seventh largest country of world. It has a land boundary of 15,200 km. The total length of coastline of mainland including andaman and nicobar islands and lakshadweep islands is 7,516.6 km.

Position:

The Indian landmass has a central location between east and west Asia. India is southward extension of the Asian continent.
