Ans ➡️ I would say the biggest change was the depopulation of the countryside and the creation of overcrowded cities. The social changes grew out of the condition in the cities.

New communities and housing patterns developed. The revolution saw the radio increase in (sub-standard) housing - large areas of terraced and back-to-back houses. The new communities were very close knit, bringing together many disparate people.

People working in factories divorced from nature - many earning regular pay for the first time

One say the increased demand for recreational facilities, the pubs and gin palaces being the most popular to escape from the from home conditions. But sporting activities - dog racing became popular, football grew out of the revolution. Also the popularity of the city battlement gardens.

As a reaction to the mostly squalid conditions in the cities, a number of movements/organisations developed - to improve the lot of the inhabitants. Movements such as the Salvation Army, the Temperance League, the development of the trade unions also. One could also consider that democracy (universal suffrage) came out of the industrial revolution.

Much of what we accept today developed from the industrial revolution. The cause the need to humanise the radical changes taking place in society.

PS it also had its effect on religion/church the industrial revolution saw the growth of the more basic church viz chapel. Also the rapid increase and adaption on the etablished church

Hope this helps ☺️☺️☺️
