ANSWER

When Aryans came to India they were already divided into Purohit, Yoddha and Visha (common people). Later, the social division of Aryan society in Sapt Sindhu region had 4 Varnas, also called Chatur Varna division (mentioned in Puru Shukta - 10th Mandal of Rig Veda).

Social life during Early Vedic Period :

The society was egalitarian.

Women enjoyed all right equal to males.

Right to education, profession, marriage (choice of spouse), remarriage, political, religious, etc were same for both genders.

No Child Marriage was there.

According to Romila Thapar, Sati system was present but symbolically.

No Untouchability was practiced.

Inter Caste (Varna Sankar) was absent between Aryans and Non Aryans.

No slavery among the Aryans existed.

Interdining and Intermarriagewas allowed among all Aryan Varnas.

Religious Life of Early Vedia Period :

We deciphered from the Bogazkai Inscription that the early Vedic people had their beliefs set on four gods i.e., Indra, Varun, Mitra and Nasatya.

Economic life during Early Vedic period :

The economy was mostly agrarian based but with very small to no surplus and society was semi nomadic. They were generally cattle rearers and hence we do not find any mention of compulsory taxation (Bali) system anywhere. Bali was a voluntary gift to the King by the people.
