Steps for removing stains from cotton fabrics:

  1. For stains of ghee, soak and make a paste of warm water and soap. Then, apply it on the stain and rub with brush or hand and wash carefully with lukewarm water.
  2. For nail polish stain, if the stain is new, just sponge with methylated spirit and kerosene.
  3. For red ink, soak in lassi and then dry the stain and bleach it.
  4. For grass, simple soap and hot water, or running with methylated spirit.
  5. For paan (Betal leaf) stain, onion paste is applied on the stain and dried.
