  • Dhanurasana which translates to the bow pose is a Yoga asana which involves the body resembling the structure of a bow.
  • First step is to lie down with head looking perpendicularly upwards.
  • The individual has to bend his or her knees hold the ankles firmly with hands.
  • Now inhale and while doing that, raise chest, head and thigh as high as possible.
  • Push your weight to the lower abdomen and join the ankles while looking upwards.
  • Lastly, bring the head and the knee down and keep exhaling.
  • Keep your body in this position for as long as you possibly can and then revert to the normal posture.
