The process of digestion starts from bucaal cavity itself..food chewed by teeth and saliva breaks down complex starch into simple sugar....
Then food goes to stomach via oesophagus..
Stomach is a large organ which expands when food enters in it..acids are added to the food like pepsin which is facilated by HCL release of food to intestine is done by a sphincter muscle
food from stomach is acidic and need to be made alkali which is accomplished bile juice..
small intestine is a long organ which have hair like projection on it which is called villi..it increases the surface area of apsorption..
then the food goes to large intestine where more villi absorbs water from food
Left over food is regulated out by a anal sphincter through body
..hopes it helps you..
