Describe the steps invovled in reflex action?

 It starts out with the sensory receptor detecting a sensation of heat for example when you touch a hot stove. A nerve impulse is carried by the sensory neuron to the central nervous system. There the interneuron relays the information to the motor neuron. The motor neuron then sends an impulse to the appropriate effector (ex. muscle), causing the muscle to contract which then pulls the hand away.
