first take a graph paper and mark the outline of leaf in the graph paper ,then count the number of complete squares within the boundary of leaf and let the no. of complete squares be x,and then count the no.of incomplete squares within the boundary of leaf and let the no. of incomplete squares be y,

Total number of square inside the outline

=No. of complete square + no. of incomplete square /2

=x+y/2

We know that AREA of one square=1cm2

Area of leaf ={x+y/2} ×1cm cube
