It releases gastric juice containing HCl, Pepsinogen( which is converted to pepsin), and mucus. The upper curved part is called the fundus. Absorption is limited in stomach; Mucosa of stomach have gastric pits leading into gastric glands. before the food enters duodenum it goes through the pylorus, which is a cone shaped constriction in the gastrointestinal gland.
