The strangest person I've ever met.
Last summer, my cousin and I had a sleepover at her house. We spent lots of time riding our bikes to shops, restaurants and friends' houses.
As we were riding close to the local park, a mysterious little limping lady appeared a few metres from us. She was dressed very strangely in a long-sleeved black dress, with a black overcoat and shawl around her neck to keep her warm. On her feet were run-down pointed boots. We contemplated talking to her but listened carefully as she swiftly spoke in what sounded like gibberish. She kept pointing at the sky and making a “shoo-like gesture” at us. When we looked up, we saw the dark grey clouds forming above our heads. Masses of rain could come down at any second.
We thanked the old lady and rushed home before getting soaked in water. That night, there was a thunderstorm with howling wind and pelting rain. We were relieved to have listened to her and reached home safely.
