Nephron is the functional unit of kidney.
There are two types of nephrons; cortical and juxtamedullary nephron.
They help filter the blood. They consist of a ball of capillaries called glomerulus in bowman’s capsule. Blood goes in via afferent arteriole and away via efferent arteriole.
