Sarcomere are composed of long, fibrous proteins as filaments that slide past each other when a muscle contact or relaxes. Two of the important proteins are myosin, which form the the tick filament, and actin, which for s think filament. The myofibrils of smooth muscle cells are not aranged into sarcomere.
