Bacterial cell :

Bacterial cell is a primitive prokaryotic cell that does not contain membrane bound nucleus.

It lacks the cell organelles like mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum etc.

Its cell wall is made up of mostly peptidoglycan and have flagella for locomotion.

Gram positive :

Have multilayered cell walls.

Stain a purple color in a crystal violet dye.

Persist in dry environments better and are often found on places like the skin and in dust.

Gram negative :

Have single layered walls.

Will not react to crystal violet dye but only to a counter stain thus giving away a pinkish colored stain.

Killed more quickly by drying but thrive in aqueous environments.
