describe the structure of flower in brief parts of flower

A typical flower has four main parts—or whorls—known as the calyx, corolla, androecium, and gynoecium (Figure 1). The outermost whorl of the flower has green, leafy structures known as sepals. The sepals, collectively called the calyx, help to protect the unopened bud.

✳️Calyx✳️

calyx (plural calyces or calyxes) (botany) The outermost whorl of flower parts, comprising the sepals, which covers and protects the petals as they develop. Meronym: sepal. (zoology, anatomy) Any of various cup-like structures. A chamber in the mammalian kidney through which urine passes.

✳️Corolla✳️

They are often brightly colored or unusually shaped to attract pollinators. Together, all of the petals of a flower are called corolla. Petals are usually accompanied by another set of modified leaves called sepals, that collectively form the calyx and lie just beneath the corolla.

✳️androecium✳️

The androecium, or male parts of the flower, comprise the stamens, each of which consists of a supporting filament and an anther, in which pollen is produced.

✳️gynoecium✳️

The gynoecium is the innermost whorl of a flower; it consists of (one or more) pistils and is typically surrounded by the pollen-producing reproductive organs, the stamens, collectively called the androecium.
