Heya friend,
Heart is located in the thoracic cavity , in between the two lungs slightly tilted to the left.
It is derived from mesoderm and has the size of clenched fist,
Heart is protected by a double walled membranous bag called pericardium.
Pericardium consists of 2 layers ,outer parietal pericardium and an inner visceral pericardium attached to the heart.A space called pericardial cavityis present between two layers which is filled with fluid called pericardial fluid .
Pericardium protects the heart from shocks and mechanical injuries.
Our heart is divided into 4 chambers two relatively small chambers called atrium and two larger lower chambers called ventricles
The right and left atrium is separated by THIN muscular Interatrial septum
The right and left ventricle atrium is separated by THICK muscular Interventricular septum
So,Atrial are connected with ventricles ...atrial and atrial are not connected as well as ventricle and ventricle are not connected with each other
The heart has valves(which prevents the back flow of the blood)
The mitral valve OR bicuspid(LOCATION:: LEFT ATRIUM AND LEFT VENTRICLE)valve
Tricuspid valve(LOCATION: right atrium and left atrium)
The aortic valve and pulmonic valve are located between the ventricles and the major blood vessels leaving the heart.
hope this helps!!

HUMAN HEART :
》Human Heart is mesodermal in origin.
》It is located in the thoracic cavity between the lungs.
》It is protected by pericardium which is a double walled membrane enclosing pericardial fluid.
》Our heart consists of four chambers - two upper chambers called atria and two lower chambers called ventricles.
》A thick walled septum called the inter-ventricular septum separates the left and right ventricles.
》A thin septum called inter-atrial septum separates right and left atria.
》Atrioventricular septum separates the atria and the ventricle of the same side.
》Bicuspid Valve regulates the opening between the left atrium and left ventricle.
》Tricuspid Valve regulates the opening between the right atrium and right ventricle.
