Answer: THE HUMAN HEART HAS A WONDERFUL MECHANISM.

the heart's walls are made up of cardiac muscles. The rib cage protects the heart from injury. The heart is enclosed in a double layered membrane called the pericardium .The space between membranes is filled with pericardial fluid. The fluid protects the heart from shocks.

The heart has  four chambers - two auricles and two ventricles .all these chambers are separated from each other by a  muscular wall called septum  to prevent the mixing of oxygenated and impure blood. the septum divides the heart into left and right sides.Blood flows from the auricles to the ventricles there are valves between the auricles and ventricles to regulate the flow of blood . these valves work like a door which opens in one direction only therefore the valves allow blood flow in one direction only.on the left side there is the left auricle and below the left auricle is the left ventricle. on the right side there is the right auricle and below the right auricle is the right ventricle.

the right auricle receives  impure blood from different parts of the body . from right auricle , the blood flows into the right ventricle. From right ventricle it is pushed into the pulmonary. In the lungs exchange of gases takes place and the blood gets pure. This pure blood then flows to the left auricle by the pulmonary veins. From the left auricle , it flows into the left ventricle and is then pumped into the aorta .

When the blood passes through capillaries it delivers oxygen and nutrients to the cells and collects carbon dioxide and other wastes. It thus get deoxygenated and comes back to the right auricle completing one round of circulation.

P.S : YOU ASKED ONLY FOR STRUCTURE BUT I DECIDED TO ADD THE PROCESS ALSO.

THANK YOU.
