Parenchyma Collenchyma

1.They have unspecialised cells.

They have specialised cells.

2.It comprises of a thin cellular wall.

Collenchyma consists of a thick cellular wall.

3.The wall of a cell consists of only cellulose.

The cell walls comprise of pectin and hemicellulose.

Parenchyma-Location: The parenchyma tissue is present in soft parts of the plant such as cortex, pith, palisade and some parts of the flower. Functions: Parenchyma tissue provides support to plants and also stores food.

Chollenchyma-Location: Collenchyma is found in the leaf stalks,below the epidermis of leaves and stems of herbaceous dicotyledonous plants. Function: ☆Collenchyma is a living mechanical tissue and provides both mechanical strength and elasticity.
