Answer:

Role of embryosac is seed formation by Syngamy and triple fusion

Explanation:

Role of synergids is to give support and nutrients to the egg cell

pollen grain forms pollen tube and in middle it divides to two spore this this two will perform Syngamy and triple fusion

one with egg cell

and another with polar nuclei respectively...

STRUCTURE OF EMBRYO SAC

Embryo sac is a 7 celled and 8 nucleated female gametophyte present in the ovule of a flower.

It consists of egg apparatus, polar nuclei and the antipodal cells.

Egg apparatus is of three cells i.e. two synergid cells and one egg cell and is present at the micropylar end of the embryo sac.

There are two polar nuclei at the centre of the embryo sac in the central cell.

Three antipodals are present at the chalazal end.

ROLE OF SYNERGID CELLS

Synergids have special cellular thickenings at the micropylar tip called the filiform apparatus which plays an important role in guiding the pollen tubes into the synergids.
