Describe the supply of power to a house

There are two types of supplies are fed by State electricity board

1. single phase
2. three phase

the voltage rating of single phase is 230V(rms)

and for three phase is 440V(rms)

This ratings are Line voltage

so according to our requirement government gives us three phase power supply also if the total load is more than 4KW then 3-Phase is compulsory

first the power is send from power house to local weird at required quantity and then the cable connected to the transformer to reduce the amount of current passes through the wires and then the power directly supplies to our house
