Describe the terms of food chain.
Answers
Answer :
The transfer of energy from one organism to another in the ecological system forms a food-chain. For example, in a grassland, herbivores, such as the deer, feed on the grasses and at the next stage carnivore such as the lion, feed on the deer. The food chain thus involves the flow of energy in the lower to higher levels. The simple food chain does not exist in any ecosystem. Many simple food-chains intermingle with one another and then it is called a food web.
The relation betweendifferent organism in a food - chain maybe represented by a pyramid of numbers. the pyramid has a board base which represent primary producers. Above this, there are primary consumers, then there are secondary consumers. On top are tertiary consumers. Man I at the ecological pyramid. He is both herbivores and carnivores in his food habits.

Answer:
Food chain : A food chain describes the feeding relationships of different organisms in a linear fashion. This is the simplest way of showing feeding relationships.
Food web : A food web shows multiple food chains, multiple relationships and connections. This a more complicated but more realistic way of showing feeding relationships, as most organisms consume more than one species and are consumed by more than one species.
Food pyramid : More commonly known as an energy pyramid, a food pyramid takes the food chain but uses it to show how energy moves through a community.
Because each organism uses some of the energy it received from the previous level for growth and other processes, the energy available to the next level is less (because some of that energy has been used). This is why we have more primary producers than carnivores.
