I dont exactly know the theme of that poem, its just a out this fun stories of different animals. And well, Custard is a very interesting animal, he looks very scared n always asked for a safe cage but when danger comes in, he is the one to save all of them. so, maybe the poem is teaching us to be humble? I'm not sure but I think that's what it pretty much means. tq
