Thermal pollution is defined as the degradation of water quality by any process that changes water temprature.

It is also defined as increase in the optimum temprature of water by industrial process.

Effects of Thermal pollution:

● Levels of oxygen is reduced in warmer water.

● Higher temprature increases the metabolic rate of organisms causing them to consume more food.

● Lesser oxygen will kead to growth of anaerobic bacteria which will result into stagnation of water.

Radioactive pollution is the contamination of air, water, land and others by radioactive materials.

Effects of Radioactive pollution:

● when radioactive rays passes through an organism it splits the tissues into two causing mutation.

● Radiation can also cause leukemia if reaches bone marrow.

● It may lead to skin cancer.

● It may cause several defects in the body and may effect the growth of baby in a pregnant lady.
