Here's the answer
The duck was very clever as it can be seen in the poem itself. She tries to convince the kangaroo but when he refuse she tells him that she has got solutions for his problems realted to her. She just wanted to have a ride on kangaroo's back and see the places around. Because she is a Water organism she can't travel by herself and see the world. So she thinks to convince the kangaroo so that he will be giving a ride to her on his back.
