The politics of social division is short lived since it depicts the otherwise .The people with greater income do not see the need of engaging themselves in such activities as politics while it is the poor that vote .By doing this the poor will vote their people who do not represent the interests of the rich people.

The people in the informal settlement are usually many thus can actively determine the outcome of an election.

\boxed{HERE \: IS \: YOUR \: ANSWER}

Three factors are crucial in deciding the outcome of \color{red}{politics\: of \:social\: division:}

\boxed{How \:people\: perceive \:their\: indentities}
If people see their identities in singular and exclusive term,it becomes very difficult to accommodate. It is much easier <b>if the people see that their identities are multiple and are complementary with the national identity. This help them to stay together.

\boxed{How \:political\: leaders\: raise\: the \:demands \:of \:any \:community }
It is easier to accept the demands that are within the constitutional framework and are not at the cost of another community. <b>The leaders of different communities presented their demands in a such a way that these could not be accommodated within a single community .

\boxed{How\: the\: government\: reacts \:to\: the\: demand\: of \:different\: groups}
<b>If the rulers are willing to share power and accommodate the reasonable demand of minority community, social division become less threatening for the country .But if they try to suppress such a demand in the name of national unity, the end result is often quite opposite.
