the three parallel ranges of Himalayas are:1.Himadri( great of inner Himalayas) it is the most continuous range. the northernmost range called himadri. average height is 6000 metre.

2. Himachal ( lesser Himalayas) it lies to the south of himadri and forms the most rugged mountain system. average height between 3700 to 4500 metres.

3. shikwaliks ( outer Himalayas)

this is the outermost range of the Himalayas. its height various between 900 to 1100 metre.
