Explanation:

based on their host, viruses can be classified into three types ,namely

animal viruses ,plant viruses, bacteriophages.

Animal Virus

An animal virus is a small

infectious

agent that is unable to replicate outside

a living animal cell. animal viruses

contain only one kind nucleic acid, Either DNA or RNA.

Plant virus

plant virus are viruses that affect plants . like all other viruses plant viruses are obligate intracellular parasites that do

not have the molecular machinery to replicate without a host. plant viruses can be pathogenic to higher plants.

Bacteriophages

A bacteriophage is a type of virus that infects the bacteria.

in fact the word bacteriophage literally means bacteria eater because bacteriophages destroy their host cells. All bacteriophages are composed of a nucleic acid molecule that is surrounded by a protein structure.
