There are 4 different types which are magnetite, titanomagnetite, massive hematite and pisolitic ironstone deposits. The 2 most important ones are hematite and magnetite.

The iron ores are the minerals and irons from that metallic iron is economically extracted.

These kinds of ores are generally rich in the iron oxides and different in color that range from deep purple, bright yellow, dark grey to rusty red.
