Indefinite

Past Indefinite tense

It is used to indicate an action done in the past.

eg: I saw him at the party yesterday.

Past Continuous Tense

Past Continuous Tense usually indicates the action that was done in the past which was continued for some time.

eg: She was painting a picture.

Past Perfect Tense

Past Perfect Tense is placed between the two past actions which occurred before and later action is called simple past.

eg: He had prepared the food before his friends.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Past Perfect Continuous Tense describes an action that started and continued for some time in the past.

eg: I have had braces since last year.

Present Indefinite Tense (simple present)

Present Indefinite Tense usually describes an action in the present.

eg: She reads a lot.

Present Continuous Tense

Present Indefinite Tense describes an action that is happening in the present and will continue into the near future.

eg: He is listening to music.

Present Perfect Tense

Present Perfect Tense describes an action that has been completed but the after effect still remains.
