1) relief and topograph- the windward side of mountains hills receive more rainfall than leeward side.
2)latitudinal extent- the tropical and coastal regions and the plains receive more rainfall that the plateau and desert region in the interior.
3) the vagaries of the monsoon- the unpredictability of the monsoon along with phenomena like monsoon troughs and depression lead to unequal distribution of rainfall.
