(i) India has unitary and federal features which aims the supremacy of the central government and the absence of subsidiary sovereign politics .
(ii) The unitary and federal polity work side by side as federal constitution is marked by the existence of both; a central polity and subsidiary polity.
(iii) Both state and central governments have their own rights on their subjects in the making of the legislation.
Even though, both unitary and federal features are being practiced, the federal polity is stronger.
