there are two methods to charge any object either by ( 1 ) friction or ( 2 ) induction..
charging an object by friction :-
it is done by rubbing two objects with each other. In this method each of the object get opposite charged.
charging an object by induction :-
it is a method of transforming the static charge from one object to the another object by keeping them at some distance. In this method each of the object get opposite charged.
