There are the following properties and applications of insulating materials :
1. Conductivity :it is the process in which a reactive and hard metals conducts electricity and heat when in contact with it.
By the ways there are some non metals which also conducts both heat and electricity. For example graphite but mostly metals are able to conduct or known conductors but potassium and sodium are also metals but they don't conduct or are not conductors.
