Sublimation is Process of Separation

Explanation:

Use magnet to get rid of iron-

  1. Spread the iodine with salt as well as iron mixture on a flat surface.
  2. Wrap the magnet in the paper/towel.
  3. Use the magnet to get rid of iron by pulling it across mixture's surface.
  4. The filings stick with magnet while the chalk and salt are left.
  5. Now, Remove the paper/towel from magnet in-order to collect the filings.

Sublimation is the process that separates iodine and salt.

  • Now, After heating the mixture of iodine and salt, the iodine sublimates & salt rests.
